The TOYOTA 86, which made its spectacular debut in April 2012, pursued a different dimension of driving pleasure from conventional sports cars by adopting the world's only horizontally opposed D-4S engine and an ultra-low center of gravity FR package. In July 2016 the 86 underwent a minor change with the keyword "further evolution as a sports car", aiming to attract more sports car fans by realizing a more "driving" focused 86.
