Marvel Crisis Protocol Tournament [May 2, 2026]

MAY THE MOMS BE WITH YOU

MOTHER'S MONTH MAYHEM: Players may complete the event with the following conditions met for the chance to win special themed prizes:

Start each round using one of the following leaderships for all of your games:

  • Dormommy / Dormammu (Flames of the Faltine)
  • Emma frost (My Hellfire Club)
  • Mystique (Freedom Force)
  • Storm (X-Men: Gold)

Format: This will be a Standard Timeline, 4 game Marvel Crisis Protocol Tournament. Roster selection shall be in line with current rules, errata, FAQ, Banned and Restricted List. Please see the current ruleset. https://cdn.svc.asmodee.net/production-amgcom/uploads/2025/11/DOC40_RevisedCoreSet_Rulebook_11_2025.pdf

Games aim to be 90 minutes long from start to finish. Please note that while Torchlight makes every effort to carry new models in stock, circumstances may dictate limiting the use of characters not widely available in Ontario. We appreciate your patience on any shipping issues that may arise.

Schedule:

10:00- Registration
10:30-12:00 Game 1
12:10-13:40 Game 2
13:40-1430 Lunch Break (Paint Judging)
14:30-16:00 Game 3
16:10-17:40 Game 4
17:45 Closing Ceremonies

Prizing: Tournament organizers will attempt to award no more than one prize per winner, however exceptions may occur.

Longshanks: This Tournament will use the website Longshanks.org to track standings during the event. Players are strongly encouraged to pre register before the start of the event on the Torchlight website. https://mcp.longshanks.org/event/34200/

Rule of Thumb: Have fun! Please treat each other, staff members, and organizers with respect. While this is a competitive format with prizing, we are also here for a good time (and hopefully good stories). The tournament will enforce the ITC code of conduct, which can be found here.

Judging: While many rulings can be found online, there will be an active judging stance at this event. While the judge(s) will not be looking to intervene, they may step in to adjudicate disputes and help speed up rulings. Calling over a judge to help with a ruling is encouraged, and will not be held against anyone.

Timing: Tournament rounds will be 1 Hour 30 minutes with regular timing calls. Once the round time is over, a Hard Dice Down policy will be enforced. Ties are left as-is.

Podium Placings: Prizing for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place; additional prizes may be distributed depending on attendance. Places are determined by the greatest number of wins with Strength of Schedule as the next placings metric. Other tiebreakers may be used past that to determine rankings.

Best Painted: Players may enter their model(s) for a painting prize. A judge(s) may decide a winner for "Best painted" and other creative prizes.

Random Draw: Random prize(s) for those who did not get another prize listed above.

Roster Selection: Rosters will consist of 10 Characters (and any applicable grunts), 5 Secure Crises, 5 Extract Crises and 10 Team Tactics Cards

Painting: Fully painted rosters are strongly encouraged but not required. Players using a fully painted roster may be entered to win additional prizes.

Conversions: All models must be clearly identifiable as their respective characters. Converted models are admissible, provided they are similar in size and shape to the original (ie. a head swap). All models MUST be on an official AMG Marvel Crisis Protocol base of their intended base size. If in doubt ask a judge about the model in question before the event/round.

Print and Play Policy: We allow the use of printed crisis and team tactic cards.

This is a living document and subject to change at the Tournament Organizer's discretion.
